Thanks for spoiling that for me. Here in south Africa we only get a delayed broadcast. We'll only see it this Tuesday.

That's why you get a bit torrent client, unless of course your Internet is so bad you'd still be downloading a 300-500 MB or so show into next week. Then it wouldn't make much dif. Not sure what kinda BW you can get in Africa, though I imagine it'll be less then the US, which itself is less then the steal Canadians can get their broadband for :D

One thing Gib will get, is cheap broadband to go with that club and that seal :lol2:

At the school where I work we have a humungous *sarcasm* 512k ADSL connection. But here at home I only have a 56kb (actually 49.2kb) dial-up.

A 500MB file will take me a whole week-end to download.

EEK man. That does totally blow. I wonder what you could get wrt satilite service out there. The latency is bad (as it has to beem from space), however that would put it sufficiently outside your phone system there for downloads. Uploads would still be stuck at 56k however, unless they finally got around to 2-way sattilites for Internet access, which thus far I haven't heard being put in place...

I sit at a table and post at nvnews all day while fixing computers... I went a couple times with an hour or two of sleep. I've dozed off a few times during the day while holding my head up...

The benefits of long hair= no one can see your eyes closed when walking by you. :p

yeah, but the drawbacks could be if that hair flops into the computer case while you're working on it. Not sure about where you live, but here in New Mexico static discharge can be rather bad due to extremely low humidity.

Combing one's hair, one can almost hear the static on a plastic (not even mettle) comb of all things :rofl

All said though, I don't tend to go to bed early myself; albeit I try to avoid waking up earlier when I can...

Heh, you have no idea how irritating it is working on computers (or doing anything) with long hair. I usually wear a hat (one of the small, light winter cap type things) to keep it out of my face. I might have to start wearing a baseball type cap though. I've never worn them before, but i might have to start (getting too hot).

All that said, I much prefer long hair to short hair. Once I get past the whole "ahh... my head is lighter..." thing, its just too boring. My hair is extremely fuzzy\lumpy, so when its not long, its just a poofy mess unless I put an excessive amount of gel in it(and I havent done that in almost 3 years).

Ok, enough delerious rants... I think im going to attempt to go to sleep.

What really ticks me off is that no matter when I go to bed I always wake up at around about 7. So over weekends when I want to sleep late to catch up on some lost sleep due to too much time spent on nVNews.net, I still wake up at 7.
