I like Crucial and Corsair myself, but Samsung is also suppose to be EXCELLENT and overclocks well. Go for it

only thing is I don't know if thats a good deal or not since its not US$

Last I heard, Samsung PC3200 OC'd like CRAP... I think. RAM review somewhere, let me find linkage... and linkage I cannot find. Doh.

Personally, that's what I'd go with. Gotta have the heat spreader--it's so damn sexy. :p

Well if you could buy elsewhere I'd suggest a Corsair TwinX kit :)

IMHO, Twin-X is a marketing attempt to exploit the dual-channel popularity right now...

Go to a store and pick-up any 2 of the same brand/model....you'll have the same results...they just aren't packaged together...

This is more an issue for cheaper memory that might have questionable quality...However, when talking about Corsair XMS...there is no need for the modules to be tested any further than they already are...

Go grab some XMS PC3200 or PC3500...you certainly won't be disappointed...I've been using that memory for a number of months now and have been blown-away with its performance...

:D

And my usual "So what?" The fact that someone did it is cool to me. :)

I recommend nothing less than Winbond PC3200C2 memory, heh, so, either Winbond brand, or Corsair which uses Winbond chips ;) :D

I second that! Just like any other piece of circuitry, no 2 memory modules are identical, no matter what, and TwinX modules are supposed to be tested together for maximum compatibility in dual-channel operation.

But even if TwinX is just a marketing scheme and doesnt mean the modules go through any special testing, its still very convenient to get them in pairs now that dual-channel mobos are all over the place. Plus, there should be a warranty on them for working together in dual-channel mode. If you just grab 2 separate modules, if if they look identical, and then they give you any kind of problem, who are you going to complain to?
