Hi, all!

I've just swapped my GF2MX400 for a Radeon 9000 and now I'm getting crappy fps in CS (OpenGL). FPS are continually fluctuating from 15 to 50fps. On my GF2MX400 they were stable 60fps. Weird enough, under D3D I get 30-71fps. What the heck? Isn't CS (Half-life engine) created with OpenGL in mind? Why then D3D is better? HELP!!! I'm suspecting VSYNC is also off, because I get some tearing, although is enabled in drivers for both D3D and OpenGL

Are you using the latest Cat.3 drivers? Ive read that they fix the problems in opengl, that is on the 9700, dont know about all ATI cards?

Ok, did you reformat? That most likely should solve the problem.

OK, I already fixed it by setting ati_subdiv "0.0" and ati_npatch "0.0" under CONFIG.CFG
Hope this will help others.
