Hi,

We have network with address 192.168.0.x. Internet is shared in this and and user level policies have been set. All users in this network connect to internet using a internet sharing server. (Say X).

We are trying to setup another network for a group of projects. The address assigned is 192.168.2.x. We need to setup internet connection for this network. Duplicating X in this network is not an option.

Is there any way in which users in 192.168.2.x can connect to internet using X ?

Thanks
Saravanan

The default gateway machine in the 2.X subnet just needs a default route to your internet sharing server.

If you don't have a default gateway machine in 2.X, you may be able to add a 2.X address to your internet sharing server and use it as the default gateway for 0.X and 2.X traffic.

If your ICS server is 192.168.1.1, add an additional IP to the NIC say 192.168.2.1. This would allow both subnets to be able to reach this server.

What I don't know is if ICS is smart enough to route the traditional Win32 spam/DDoS attacks across both subnets, or, if it will only route/NAT based on 192.168.1.1
