I'm upgrading to Corsair's XMS-2 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Dual Channel Kit. This will be running on my Windows XP x64 Pro Edition.
What's are the advantages of having 4GB of DDR2 ram in my system? :D

In current applications, I do not think there is any advantage to running that much ram.

I am sure encoding HD content would benefit from that much mem. Although, I don't ever see my system use over 1.3gb.

When I was doing photoshop work on Oblivion textures I was constantly running with under 200Mb free ram, and that was with a 90% memory usage limit set. If I had 4gigs, no doubt it would have kept on using more and more. I can deffinitely see where enormous amounts of ram would not only be beneficial, but necessary.
