rumers of the 7600GTX, 7600le, and a few others (Not sure on names), if they come out, theyll be next

Well.. i have a 7900gt 550/1580, and i can do a step up to evga for $4 and get the newer 7900gt 580/1580 "with better cooling", or wait for something new, i have till july 9th to do the step up.

No way the new G80's will be ready by then.

You're looking at probably >October for new cards, releases before Christmas are always best for the companies.

NOTE: This is just speculation based on past history of releases btw.

They still have not got though Milking the 7900's yet they will have the Quad core comeing out ,I don't look for one until next year unless ATI forces there hand.

Peronally I doubt we'll see the next-gen GPUs from either company until November at the earliest. With commercially meaningful shipments of Vista being kicked into Q2 of next year, there's no real need for such parts at the moment IMO.

Just a quick question - can you source that info on the pushing back of the Vista release date? I've been looking for reliable info to confirm that for some time - as far as I can tell, the rumours of it being pushed from January to Q2 were just that. I can't recall where, but I've even seen a direct refutation from an MS exec saying that commercial availability to regular consumers (business copies are apparently still on track for November) is still planned for Jan.

I'd be totally willing (I almost expect it...) to believe that Vista won't launch in January, but up until this point I've seen no reliable confirmation of that.

Just wondering is all...
