Cool! With their denoise filter, I'm sure nVidia will smear as much detail all over the screen as ATi already does. At least they'll give a slider to control the effect, which is more than I can say for ATi at the moment.

O really.
What I see is they are very similar in image quality. But I saw nowhere that "AVIVVA" beats PureVideo.

Kinda subjective really. Both look better than software so I dont think it matters much.

Wow, thanks! I hadn't seen that. The new stuff looks really cool but I'm glad they're also providing the old interface in case I want to just make a quick change.

And more like Matrox CP for parhelia.. supposedly very light and fast..
but it seems they crammed in a realtime 3d preview window, which might result increased load times..

They sure do look great, but how is the performance.

I'll take performance over looks anytime.

Rejzor mate :D

how ya been

i've scrapped the Remix 8.22 project, and have released remix 9.16 :)

don't download the current version though

im going to update it,. some changes need to be made.

Ok

regarding the question on whether this requires .NET

YES, the new CP requires .NET

NO. the new cp is not a resource hog. as it is only loaded when you ask it to.

the cp will be built into the nvidia drivers itself, making it smaller then ATI'S CCC (thats a separate download i think)

it runs surprisingly fast. and is very handy

now to the question on whether there will be extra features

ok there are some

including

You have full control over the profiles you make., remember the old NV profiles manager. well you couldn't edit premade profiles. or enable certain settings.

in the new cp. you can.

now im basing this off the CP that was within 75.90, but it appears to be almost exactly the same. except it has a few new features.

the new control panel better come out this time, it's been floating around for months now in various odd forms.

I dont need that new CP, the old one works perfectly(nana2)

it might work perfectly.

but it will be phased out eventually seeing as they going to be shifting to putting the new features into the new cp.

.NET Framework is not the evil on planet. Lazy programmers however are.
ATi CCC is pure crap and i don't even know how they had guts to release such garbage. On the other hand, check the Paint.NET aka PaintDotNet project.
It's also written in .NET and is one of the most lean and mean applications i've ever used (image viewer and editor). Now thats the example of good programming. I also used some POP3 email notifiers written in .NET and they also worked like charm and not consuming much resources. So it's clearly not a .NET fault but how creative and capable are programmers behind it.
