I aint into futuristic RTS stuff.

I loved Red Alert, had a grimey feel to it.

Wanna see napalm, explosions and chaos ...not faggy little lazer cannons and pink lighted particle beams.

I don't know, maybe because it actually happened and gives it a very authentic feel.

My, you've gotten sarcastic in your old age.

urm - no, I have all the respect in the world for the fallen soldiers of our wars but to say it makes a GAME feel more authentic says very little for your imagination.

if you want authenticity look out the fookin window.

I'm definetly looking forward to this game. I really enjoyed Tiberium Sun.

Any word on a release date?

Let's hope EA doesn't screw this one up. This game has huge potential if completed properly.

This includes the online play. All the good RTS's I've played online have had horrendus slow, laggy gameplay, even with 1v1 matches. Those of you who played Tiberian Sun and Generals online know what I'm talking about.

Did you ever play StarCraft or WC3? Best multiplayer EVER.

I would prefer modern day, or near future.
Not bloody flying saucers and crap.

Post apocolyptic future would be good too.

Never played either one of those on the Internet. Was the gameplay and performance of the game the same as single player?

Hopefully they fix the path finding code. Still it looks damn nice.

edit: damn I love the old CC rock music. Especially the one from red alert.

Yes. I've never played StarCraft online, but WC3 was great. The only problem was the morons trying to play the game on their crap computers. They'd usually just get dropped after everyone else waited a loong time for them to load.

"building... unit ready... building... unit ready... building... unit ready... building... unit ready..."

those words are forever burned into my brain... and in the case of Red Alert:

"training... unit ready... training... unit ready... training... unit ready... training... unit ready..."

They better bring the old commando back too...

"hahaha... that was LEFT handed!"

"keep'em comin!"

C&C was my first RTS (I think) and definitly my favourite so far ... the commando was my hero :nana:

"I've got a present for ya!"

Anyone remember the song when the westwood studio logo appeared right in the beggining? "Not a mechanical man" or some such title if I recall correctly.
