We've posted a brief preview of NVIDIA's new nForce5 core-logic chipset.

Hmm, if I check the nvnews preview using the link on the front page, it works. If I use the one in the forum post, I get a page not available. They look like the same link. Edit: Actually, I see it. There's an extra http on the forum link.

Anyway, the nforce 5 590 SLI looks like a great board and everything a tweaker could want. I wonder if the new drivers with the new CP will work for the nforce4 and older motherboards also.

Edit: I guess we see what SLI memory is for now. I remember some wondering what that was all about.

91.72 or 91.27? :)

It should be available in a downloadable 32-bit release of 91.27 (or something similar, and no XP x64 support just yet, but soon) on NVIDIA.com or nzone.com very shortly, and it looks like NVIDIA's user interface team have been hard at work to make it look good, and just like any other Windows control panel applet (which is just as well since it integrates into that collection on install).

OWA, I'll have to do some more readying but I think the short answer is no.

I have to say those nforce 590s are looking nice. I am eager to see how the ones do that support Conroe rather than AM2. My second rig might well be a nforce 590 board that supports Conroe, an E6700, and two cards in SLi. Perhaps evga will have some signature series available in 7900GTX.

Hmm, nForce 5 to start supporting Conroe? Good news all around. Especially for us nForce users that don't have a Creative Labs sound card no more ;)

Yeah, will be interesting...
