Connecting camera to video card?

I have an 8 millimeter video camera that I use to film stuff on and I am wondering how I would go about hooking it up to my computer to edit it for movies and stuff. It has a video S input/output and so does ym GeForce 7300 so would I just hook those 2 together? I am new to this so if you guys could help me out, thanks.

your video card has to support VIVO (Video In Video Out). im not sure if the 7300 GS does.

if it does, then you have to download the WDM Capture driver off the nvidia site and use 3rd party capture software.
