Which version is the newest and which should I use with 2 7900gt's in SLI mode and the new 91.28 drivers? Coolbits 2, Coolbits 3D or Coolbits SLI?

I use coolbits3d.

I'm still using Coolbits 2, I think (it's called Coolbits Forceware). Seems to be working, but think maybe I should apply Coolbits 3D?

I'm pretty sure there shouldn't be a problem if I just ran the new .reg file even though I've already applyed Coolbits 2?

probably a dumb question, but if all they do is unlock hidden driver features, what are the differences between the files?

I was thinking the same... I assume that different Coolbits add more unlocks perhaps? Or the registry locations change with different driver versions?

I think coolbits3D unlocks the most.

Yep... I use 3D myself. Works great!

What are they using in the new 90 series? I seen alot more options in the 90 Forceware Review than in the ones i downloaded yesterday i mean more goodies.

Would Coolbits do it or are not compatible with 90 series.?

my coolbits patch actually unlocks more then coolbits 3d.

Um, what are you talking about?? You're missing many tweaks that are available in my version. Like purevideo, stereo3d, the list goes on...

BTW I don't appreciate you trying to take credit for all of our hard work over at Lv2go.

You can use Coolbits3d for virtually any set of nVIDIA Forceware drivers. Also, check the "New Control Panel" thread around post 34 (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=897672&postcount=34) and you'll find some new tweaks I posted there for the 91.28 drivers.

what are you talking about, i never copied anything from Lv2go.?

btw, stereo 3d is only useful for people who have the stereo glasses. so who cares about that as only 5% of the gaming community even have them.

the majority of us don't benefit at all from using coolbits 3d.

i just installed it and i don't see any new panels then what i had before.

There are many people here who benefit from using coolbits3d and Laptopvideo2go modified drivers. So your statement is utterly false..

You know that coolbits3d unlocks way more than just stereo 3d settings. Go trolling somewhere else son..

like what.?

theres only 1 difference i can see and that is that a vmr tick box is on the overlay page.

other then that. there is nothing new from what i already have.

btw, Lv2Go packs thier forceware inf's with crap. half the settings in them aren't needed for anything. some even cut performance.

Wait a minute! Now all of a sudden theres only 1 difference between your version and mine?? (An option out of many that my version has and yours does not!) And you state your "coolbits patch" unlocks more??

it did,

the last time i used coolbits 3d there was only the stereo and coolbits in it.

it would seem you've updated it.. but most of the stuff in it are compatibility tweaks that are actually useless.

theres a guy on guru3d trying to post some coolbits3 3rd strike crap and it has tons of options... most of which the driver automatically installs itself.

It doesn't hurt. It just a simple registry entry. Besides, some older drivers still make use of those settings. Newer drivers simply disregard them with no performance penalty.

The guy on guru3d has copied tweaks from all over the place. Settings like overlay are easily changed by the control panel itself. Most all the other stuff came from Lv2go. It's a joke really. People taking credit for someone else's work...

well, honestly. i never copied your coolbits 3d, most of that stuff i got from various driver tweaking sites, and just compiled it into my own patch.

Well, honestly. Even though you may not have copied it directly, you lied about your "coolbits patch" unlocking more than coolbits3d. It doesn't. In fact your "coolbits patch" unlocks less... So get to work :p

the last time i used it though it did unlock the stereo section.. but it didn't this time :|

What about Purevideo or VMR? Or OpenGL 2.0?

squall_leonhart
05-29-06, 08:38 AM
err dude

opengl 2.0. is automatically enabled on ALL Geforce FX + since forceware 75.90 possibly lower.

any cards below are only capable of Opengl 1.5

and i don't get purevideo coz i don't have a geforce 6 and i don't intend on installing the stupid purevideo crap especially when the technologies used in the card are all open standard hardware acceleration techniques.

What about people not using Forceware 60+ drivers on their GeForce FX or lesser card? Your version of coolbits doesn't unlock it for them..

and i don't get purevideo coz i don't have a geforce 6 and i don't intend on installing the stupid purevideo crap especially when the technologies used in the card are all open standard hardware acceleration techniques.

So what you don't have Purevideo? Just because you don't have Purevideo gives you the right to say your coolbits patch unlocks more?? I don't think so! You're not making any sense, dude..
