Where does the actual performance come from; the clock speeds, the onboard memory, or the pixel shaders and pipelines? also, while I'm posting this, does anyone know when DirectX-10 compatable cards are coming out, and what is so great about DirectX10? thanks.

its a combination of them all, not just one specific thing, high clocks are usless on one pipeline, 1000 pipelines is usless on 10mhz clock, 1gb ram is usless on a low clocked/piped card

Clockspeeds, pipelines, vertex and memory bandwith.

Dont forget the nvidia logo... that accounts for a lot of performance as well... :D
