I'm here to tell you all about the worse mouse and service I've ever experienced!
It's called Razer Boomslang 2000 and Kärna Precision!
I bought my mouse 2 months ago for about £80, the best way to waste money is to do the same! It took the mouse about 1½ moth to break down. The left mouse button started lagging and soon it completely frooze! on top of that it doesn't feel very precise, infact, I now use my http://www.sandberg.it/sandberg/hardware/63071.jpg 2 button, no scroll mouse wich gives me the same result (the no1 spot - bf42 ALWAYS). Well, that wouldn't bother me if it hasn't been that the company won't return my emails... And I've send 15 since i got the mouse (over 2 months)
The lack of service is fustrating and the worse part is that the company haven't even released a WinXP driver??? The last driver was created nov.2000! How lousy is that?? The company can't even provide the customers with a propper driver for a common used operating system!
DON'T BUY THE RAZER BOOMSLANG MOUSE - IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

uh?
I actually loved this mouse until they Discontinued them..Never had a problem..They discontinued making them so I dont think you can get winxp drivers..
Now that Im used to optical I dont even bother looking at ball mice..But I do know some quakers that swear by this mouse..
I think they went out of business..Thats why your getting no replies..Correct me if Im wrong..
that mouse is very old... back from the days when people actually used ball mice... hehe but it should work in winxp... just dont install drivers:)

The winxp driver isn't the prob!
I just feel that they're ****ting on me... I pay £80 and the **** is no better than a £5 2-butoon, no scroll ball mouse!
I've read a dusin reviews wich all tells me how great it is and I just wanted to warn you... I've never been so disappointed!

Dont feel so bad proteus..You can sell the mouse and make your money back..
Try ebay or even better > http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6166
if you want a good mouse... get a logitech mx500 usb... super smooth... my friend brought one over and it felt way better than my microsoft wheel mouse optical...

You paid close to $100 US 2 months ago for that mouse and I'd say you got seriously ripped off. There are optical mice (Logitech MX500 which was mentioned and MS Intellimouse Optical/Explorer) that are vastly better IMO and cost a whole heck of a lot less.
Try selling it if you can, otherwise you'll have to eat the money and learn a valuable lesson.

I would have to disagree.
I bought a Boomslang 2000 nearly two years ago.
It's the best and fastest & most precise mouse I've ever used and still works like new.
There was no specific XP driver made because the company collapsed before they could make one.
There is a Win2000 driver which works fine in XP. I use XP Pro and have no problems.
Maybe you should have waited....the company are back in business and there is a new mouse coming out called the Mamba which is even faster at 3000dpi.
Can't comment about their service as I have had no need to contact them.

The above is just one of the colours. The only thing is, it doesn't look like it's got 5 buttons which I have got used to.

I think it's still a ball mouse. Rumoured to be out at the end of summer and cheaper than the Boomslang.
hmmm... i wonder why they continue to use ball mice when there are all these new optical ones

I'm NOT going to buy anything from RAZER/KÄRNA again!
Infact I'm wondering... I f they're back in buisness again:
1/ Why won't they reply my e-mails?
2/ Why doesn't they supplie their customers with a new driver?
3/ Why did it get so good reviews when i sucks so bad?
just because it sucks for you doesnt mean it does for everyone else

DON'T BUY THE RAZER BOOMSLANG MOUSE - IT'S NOT WORTH IT! where the F have you been, it seems you have been in a cave, the company has been broke for over six months now with hardly any support and no XP drivers, I also have the 20000 model but I bought it when it first came out and when the company was going strong, then the tech sector went on a landslide and so did the Karma company, before you buy something do some research, apparently you did not, so you payed the price for your ignorance, at the moment I have a logitech MX500 and it's wonderfull, have a nice day.

If you had read the other post you might have read that i did do some research! I read 5 -10 reviews and asked around but nobody knew anything about the mouse! So based on the reviews I took the initiative and bought it - Bad deal -
But you are right! I didn't see if the company had gone bankrupt / and why did they go bankrupt??? Maybe it's because their mouse sucks!
did 3dfx make bad video cards??? no. visiontek?? no. did psygnosis make bad video games??? no. looking glass studios??? no. i could go on forever... the point is, more comes into play when a company goes out of business.
