I don't think I could even equate Hellbinder and Doomtrooper in my wildest imagination. I haven't paid much attention to Doom's posts (that is, I haven't seen many of em) lately, but from what I recall, he seems pretty hardcore ATI. While Hellbinder is a fanATIc, he seems fairly levelheaded most of the time. (no offense DT, if you're around, lol).

SnakeEyes,

I dont want you to get the wrong impression of me. At Rage3d I Go OFF on Nvidia all the time. Mostly about their Completely unethical PR department, and the undue favrotism they are shown in the media. I dont have anything against their hardware in general, and i really like their mobo chipsets.

The thing is I have a STRONG belief that you should respect other peoples houses. I am not going to come in here and start posting flame bait posts, or ranting endlessly etc etc. I absolutely HATE it when people come and make one trollish or fanboy post after the next at Rage3d.

Oh, about the being wrong about the 30% thing. I believe i remember qualifying that with 2x FSAA didnt I??? then i believe I said, 15-20% with 4x fSAA+8x AF.. But i also said virtualy neck and neck at higher resolutions..

So i really dont see where i was that far off. Of course, how could I have known then about the Quality of FSAA that was going to be offered, or the fact that their drivers would be so shakey at this point that even raw benchmarks are pretty close.

But still in many cases with 2xFSAA+8x AF they do have a 30% lead.

I've noticed the quality of your posts in both forums, so I have no problem at all with you. :) (Not even with your ATI oriented opinion. It's a free world. Only hardcore blinders on type folks irritate me, and then usually only when they intentionally make a nuisance of themselves by ruining what may have started out as good informational discussions with flaming and trolling posts).

Keep up the good work. (I've been following the upcoming chip posts, and so far your unofficial info seems to be backed up by other stuff I'm seeing and hearing. For instance, I just read a review of a R9700Pro that's been bios modded for higher default clocks, and which had its heatsink replaced with a large passive heatpipe assembly. During the tests of the card, the reviewer actually tested to see if the card would overclock further than the new 'default' settings, and was hitting over 500MHz on the core! This says a lot about what the R350 will probably be capable of.. ;))

Peace

Only makes sense for Nvidia to have Nv35 out no later than summer, months before the R400 in the fall. Then NV40 by march 2004. Nvidia is already more than 6 month behind.

its fun to hear how R500 will is ment to be a collasal advance beyond even R400.

will there be an R450?

As for NV35 vs R400, the R400 should be similar leap over NV35 as R300 was over NV25, no?

back to R500.....guessing something like 32 pipes,
512-bit memory bus, 0.09, on-die memory, deferred rendering (then only 256-bit bus needed) :D :D :D :D :D should STOMP NV40 -

Hellbinder,

Speaking about NV35 can you say anything about it having dual channel mem?
