Don't know if this is old news to you guys, but it's new to me. I own it for my PC, but I just might be stupid enough to buy it for the 360. :D

I wonder if it'll include any extras such as Lost Cost or HL: Source. I doubt it, but I suppose that would make up for the price...sort of.

Do we need more FPSes on the Xbox ? I'd understand if they were bringing Half Life 3, but we're talking about a 2 years old title everyone and its mom has already played.

Yes 60$ for Hl2 is kind of steep(lasted only ~6hours) - do you even get counter-strike source and the other mp modes? That's why I bought Hl2 to begin with. :o

I would HOPE they would include at LEAST Counter Strike Source... but I wouldn't buy it... I already got ripped off paying 50 dollars for the game on PC... wouldn't want to get gipped out of another 60 for the same game, only without mods :\.

HL2 - Steam = purchase.

They should've ported it to the Xbox 360 to begin with. Why they'd bother spending their time porting the game to the original Xbox and release it the same month as the Xbox 360, I don't understand. Would've made a decent port to have as a launch title.

As for this game, I hope it's more than just the single-player campaign like the Xbox version was. Given the price, it would be appropriate if it contained everything in the Valve Source Premier Pack on the PC (HL2, HL2DM, CS:S, DoD:S, HL:S, and HL2: Episode One). Although knowing Valve, they'll charge $60 for the single-player campaign alone and then port the other ones individually for $20 each.

You know, not everyone in the console gaming world has a PC capable of playing HL2. If there wasn't a market for it, it wouldn't be brought to the platform.

Maybe it's just a learning ground for HL3...

I don't see any other reasonable explanation for a 2 year old game getting ported to a next-gen console...

Well, it was released for the xbox1 awhile ago, so most console players have had the chance to play it.
