I was so upset when read at Xbitlab this page this morning :

nVIDIA was leader but suddenly fall far behind ATI in Maya 6.5 test. Why ? I'm gonna buy Quadro next month (saving money nearly enough). This review makes me confuse. :( . If there's no way to improve this situation, I have to buy FireGL instead of Quadro as I'm working on Maya. I really hate ATI.
look at the scores on that page for one, the high end and low end have the very same scores. this should send up a red flag, this would point to a driver problem. now second, look at all the other scores, nvidia wins almost all the other tests, hands down. now if your going to be paying all this money for a card, what card would you choose in the professional market... if my job counted on it i would probably go with nvidia.

Okies, if that's driver problem, will it be better if nVidia change their driver or later version of Maya ?
just check out guru3d for beta drivers and whql drivers.

HHmm yes read the conclusions and there are many splinters to be found from sitting on the fence. Note that they completely missed the SPEC 9 test which has been available for reviewers at the time of this review and in this we see Nvidia blowing ATI away with the latest 91.28 driver set.
Just my 2 cents.......PM me if you need more information.
