Wow! That is incredible :) Considering Woodcrest is based off of Conroe core, that is good news all around

Given your last few posts I'd bet you wouldn't believe it even if you had a couple to play with yourself. You'd probabily say that they are obviously hand picked uber fast one in a million never to be really produced chip ... ;)

It does look pretty awesome (though I won't believe it until I see benchmarks performed by AMD ;) )

 Intel.

3.0GHz and the 1333 FSB should be np on the conroe too.

Well, conroe xe should be a 11% higher clocked woodcrest (3.33 vs 3.0 ghz), so I'd say these benchies are extremely relevent. Conroe also won't have the hinderence of ECC-ram.

nice, ive been waiting for AMD to release a new line of cores. all they have been doing is shrinking the die and adding some feature support (like SSE3). this intel release will definitely raise some eyebrows over at AMD and they will get workin on another series.

i love competition, consumer always wins :D

Bro get use to Intel being back in the game.
They have got AMD's number for some time to come.

Welcome back Intel . :)

Well, then don't. I don't think basing your opinion on the Pentium 4 series is the right thing to do, though; just look what happened with amd after the athlon xp series. I'm now stuck between a choice of buying a ps3 and the choice of buying a new pc.. :thumbdwn:

Sticking with AMD just because its not an Intel chip is daft, as for these benchies - WOW!!!!!
