Honestly, I don't what to think. Part of me hopes that is just a fool joke:

It' stupid enough that brands like Ferrari or Mercedes (just to name a few) decide to sell overpriced clothes and watches with their brands, but this is even worse. A wine glass with the square-circle-triangle logo ?!?

Eh, Why not make it themselves? I have seen many items with console and game labels before made by third parties. Atleast this way you know its "official".

But honestly? Should you care? If you don't like it or care for it then just don't buy it. It in no way hurts the industry.

I wouldn't buy any of it , but it's still all cool with me.

Anything gaming related that gets pushed to the trendies and accepted is a step forward.

So much for the geeky imagery that use to go about, that myth is getting dispelled more and more, and tech enthusiasts are no longer just "nerds".
Infact, they own half the World and are taking over! lol

I don't have anything against keychains or any other promotional material as long as it helps promoting a product.

Talking about the merchandise, some of the things listed there are indeed useful for a PSP owner (like the headphones or the pouch and I understand some people are more likely to buy official accessories rather than third party) but what about the corkscrew or the wine glass ?

It's diffuclt enough to justify branded clothes unless they fit into a perceived "lifestye" but I can hardly see a corkscrew (or the photo frame) something that can be associated with the Playstation brand.

Why? Don't you love to enjoy a nice Merlot while playing a game of Socom III? LOL

nothing new really, they had ps2/ps1 wine bottles in the pre-ps2/ps1 era.

Seems sony is trying to point out that they are somehow the bmw/benz of gaming consoles, higher priced for a reason.

I wouldnt pay this PR much attention if i were you. Hell, you can only buy this stuff in one store in the world anyway.

lmao Sony dosen't bottle wine. They just pay some vinyard without any sense of dignity to relabel with a PS logo.

...and cheap one, too ;)

In the Napa Valley they make the finest US wine but for such an anniversary they could have bought at least some italian wine bottles :)

The wineglasses sounded nice; it's a sort of hidden geeky cool thing! :D

There are thousands of vinyards to choose from in California. The best ones consider winemaking an art, and would never sell their name so Sony could relabel it. Most likely some cheap-ass wine.
