A nice video presenting their new Powerbooks.
Here (http://www.apple.com/hardware/video/powerbookg4bigandsmall.html).
No opinion about the hardware, just a funny video. :D

I can't watch it at work, but is that the one with the basketball player and the guy that played mini-me?

That is a pretty cool commercial.

All hardware wars aside, how can you not drool at a 17inch wide-screen laptop like that (especially with the keyboard that lights up [no, really, it does])?

Don't even start....

Besides...just look at the hardware in it. Mac or not, it's a sweet machine.

Firewire 800 (basically firewire 2 - 800mbps xfer)
2 USB ports
gigabit ethernet
built in wireless
built in bluetooth
DVI to VGA Adapter
S-Video to Composite Adapter
512MB PC2700 DDR
64mb NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go
slot loading DVD-R/CD-RW combo drive

This is one of the coolest parts:

...fiber optic backlit keyboard with laser-etched keys that’s right out of the future. A light sensor automatically adjusts the keyboard and screen brightness based on the available ambient light. In low light, for example, the PowerBook G4 automatically lowers its display backlight and turns on the backlit keyboard. Then light-emitting fiber optic strands located under the keyboard come to life and illuminate the backlit keyboard so you can continue to work, unaffected by the change in ambient light.

I personally would not mind having the new powerbook after all the features pointed out by Nephilim, but 17" wow and the back lighting has always impressed me, it just looks cool.

However i will be getting a Toshiba Protege soon. It is the best breed between tablet and slimline laptops. It too has a ton of features like the powerbook, but it is a convertible TABLET PC!!!!:D :D :D

Cost is around $2400 for the Toshiba Protege.

link to the specs and pics of the Toshiba Protege (www.tabletpc.toshiba.com/)
