View Full Version : FreeBSD and/or open source nForce2 support?

I see the Linux nForce2 drivers - from my reading of the source tgz file they consist of a trivial sound patch and a binary only network driver.

The former looks pretty transferable but the later does not :(

Is there any hope for an open source version, or even a basic data sheet?

Hi
about the network card of the NForce2 mboard, it's a Realtek 8201BL PHY, somebody told me that that's the same as the 8100 series, and that i could download the Realtek 8100 linux drivers available from the Realtek website > this is the link to the Realtek download are, and there's some info there too that confirms this >

check the PDF's available for the 8201BL PHY and the 8100.

I was under the impression that it only uses the PHY - not an actual controller from Realtek.
