I thought it was a very funny list that was dead on. I had more to say but I don't feel like typing after having to upchuck while reading this thread.
Yep, thanks for spoiling a perfectly good thread guys.
This list was just about perfect and I could relate to everything they mentioned (except some of the really obscure crap).
Would have been nice to have a thread discussing the article... :p

shall I have to make another call to the wambulance again?
This thread is about the top 25 worst tech products of all time. IMHO Linux ought to be on that list. I don't see how that's offtopic.
I don't agree that IE6 ought to be on the list, but you don't see me crying like a baby OMG, IE6, THEY RUINED THE THREAD!
And please, if discussing how linux sucks makes you hurl, you need to take some stomach enforcer.

I wasnt singling you out. Its just getting irritating that when someone tells someone they are wrong (about the SAME thing in EVERY thread) that they have to fill up an entire thread with the SAME discussion AGAIN, rather than just take it to PMs.
We get it. Some of you like linux way too much, others dont. No matter how many dozens of times you give the same points and tidbits of info, nothing is going to change. I think we've gotten to the point where any of you can just say "well, you know how I feel about this, so either PM me, or let it go".
Seriously, theres a reason no one else has posted anything in this thread related to this article, and its because everyone goes "ugh" every time they read the same crap from the same people about the same pointless arguments.
Get over it already.
Jeez :p
For the love of the almighty Christ.
What's this thread about again?

ya i agree, i thought it was funny to read. you sort of had to read it like you would read a new york times editorial... its someones opion and not set in stone...
There is nothing wrong with Aol. Its fast reliable and cheap. Unless I am missing something here.

Its actually really horrible most of the time.
It destroys system performance, makes everything more difficult than it has to be and purposefully tricks you into installing things that break your other programs so you are forced to use AOL's crap ware.
If it works ok for you, youre one of the lucky few :p

maybe it's different in the UK, but in the US it's slow, unreliable, and expensive (cost the same for dial-up as it does basic DSL service).

First of all, Doom3 is capped at 60fps. This is a well documented fact. So you are a straight up liar for saying that you get 70fps to begin with.
Second of all, there is no way in hell a 6600GT will get 60+fps on linux. No way. Maybe if you are staring at a wall, but average gameplay - no way. Give me screenshot proof, or I'm assuming you're a liar.
When you run a timedemo such as "timedemo demo1.demo usecache" it bypasses the 60FPS engine cap. Doom3 ran the same, if not a tab bit slower on Linux than on Win32. I believe it was due to the lack of SMP/HT support until the patches came out.

Where is the Ageia PPU at?
At least give it a chance for developers to support it...
