Well it's very strange for me to do this, I have been playing around with my system and have caused something to occur everytime i try and install Ati drivers, and uninstall Ati's control panel.

I have done this zillions of times before without error even with this version of drivers (Cat3.0a).
I have made an error somewhere and would like someone to assist me by telling me what I have done. I am not willing to wait until morning either. I would be able to fix it then after some messing aorund but I am asking for a quick fix by some intelligent people. :)

Thanks You for your help and support.

All that trouble for a control panel?? Man no wonder I still have a Geforce 4. I remember when I had 3dfx I never had any problems either and when the Quake 3 drivers came out for the Voodoo cards I was amazed at the speed increase......even on my voodoo 3 when loading Half-Life levels. It looked a lot better and loaded a hell of lot faster... those were the days!!

Dude, it was my fault. :|
Ati had nothing to do with it. :)
I have had similar problems in the past with nVidia drivers. Again my fault. :)

I find it hilarious that anyone would think Ati's/nVidia's drivers caused the problems I created. A PC is only as good as the person behind it.

I've owned several ATI cards and several Nvidia and several Matrox and several 3dfx. The only one out of all of them that gave me problems right from the start was ATI. Matrox never had any problems and rarely ever had any driver updates because no one really cared....you plug and play, well more like work. And 3dfx cards had great drivers...each new driver update was like a Nvidia refresh....well, maybe after the Quake 3 drivers for it. I never had major problems with ATI cards besides not getting to run in over 4 different systems, mainly due to their poorly designed hardware and the drivers they used to have just wouldn't do anything special. In fact, they mostly caused more porblems than they fixed and there were hardly any new drivers out for months at a time. Sometimes you were best using the Windows provided drivers. It has gotten a lot better I'm sure...but that alone was enough to turn me away from ATI for a long time. I won't try another one of their cards unless Nvidia really goes under. Then I'll have no choice in picking a good card and the prices will be way up there again and then Matrox will have to wip down ATI and everyone will be saying "die ATI, long live Matrox." But it doesn't seem likely that ATI or Nvidia are going anymore for 5 years at the least.

Yeh, Yeh, Yeh. I have owned cards from S3, 3dfx, nVidia and currently Ati.

Neither cards gave me problems until I started modfiying settings and such. Over the years I learnt what I can/can't do etc...

Well anyway, you having problems or not != to me having problems. Only problems I have are when I decide to screw something up, either by accident or on purpose (If I am bored).

Not to mention the blatent thread crapping. :)
"In before the lock", "In before the lock and ban" etc...

Mods will have to play the:
"Lock before they come in" game.
