I seem to remember that nvidia was going to add smp support to their linux video drivers. Have they done this already? If not, is there a estimated release time or something? Thanks.

Is this a serious question? :D

nvidia included SMP support long ago...
Back in 2003 or 2004, I had a Dual PIII with a 4200TI and it worked flawless!

Of course the drivers have always worked with smp systems, but thats not what im talking about.
In 8174, nvidia was talking about multithreaded drivers with large performance increases... What ever happened to this?

Here with windows drivers: http://techreport.com/onearticle.x/8459, and it was supposed to have been worked on in the 1.0-8XXX linux driver series...

no it seems there is no multithreading:

I know... Thanks why I'm asking: when are they going to develope multithreaded graphics drivers for linux, as they promised?

Any Ideas?!
