A7N8X Deluxe BIOS 1002

There is an announcement on the ASUS site that version 1002 of BIOS is available. It also says that there are about 40,000 downloads of this file. However when I select any ftp server to downloadfrom I get a dead link.

Did anyone successfully download it, or did Asus jump the gun and posted the link without posting the file?

I was able to download it a while back when it first came out...and I had to be persistent and keep trying different servers. I think I ended up getting it from the Taiwan server.

It's on my home machine - should be able to get it to you tonight... but you may want to check

to see if someone over there can get it to you faster... or someone may have even mirrored it.. Go to the ASUS board and ask around...pretty helpful bunch.

I had the same problem..Just get it by using the ASUS update utility and go to the .tw or .de servers..

Seems they were on vacation for Chinese New Year. The links are fixed now. :D

Yeah, I figured they made an announcement on their website, posted links to ftp servers and then went on a 1 week vacation forgetting to actually upload bios files on the servers. There was only one copy of the new bios on the German server and under different file name.

That's quite a nasty practical joke considering how flaky A7N8X's bios currently is and how desperately people wanted a new/improved one. Well, it's all sorted out now, and thanks to the person who emailed me the bios.
