Have no worries anymore, I just read 12 reviews on the XFX XXX model and the highest 3dmark 06 score I saw was 8560, and they have the exact same setup as us. So it is within the correct range, http://www.gamespot.com/features/6152217/index.html

No point in Quad SLI as only one game supports it and it's FEAR.

dissapointing but I guess it pays off if you run at very high WS resolutions....maybe??

lets hope so hey.

Actually no games support Quad right now, officially that is. Everyone using it is using it unofficially, but with manufactuars posting Quad SLI on the new 7950 retail boxes, it's probably comming very soon.

Read a few of the reviews, more than FEAR works with Quad SLI.

So lala, look at this:

Quad at 2560x1600 is not that much fast than a normal SLI atm... Hopefully the boost kicks in with better driver support.

OWA, do you have two GX2 already or is one still on the way to you?

It's packed so hopefully it'll ship today and I'll have it tomorrow. Edit: I may have to get a different power supply though. One of the review sites ran it on a 450 or so PS so I'm going to try it first to see how it goes.

Did you read the hardwarezone review for Quad SLI? They were actually running Quad SLI on a 480w psu, it lasted through 2 days of benchmarks before it died, freaking nuts lol.

I think that was the one I was thinking of so I'll definitely get a different power supply (mine is a 480 also) . I'd rather not risk something like that happening.

Definately, get a Quad SLI certified 700w psu, of if you have the money go all out and get one of the PCP&C 1000w models.

Quad SLi will benefit a lot from potent processors like the upcoming Conroe, especially when it is oced up around 3 GHz. I am eager to see what one will do for me.

Quad SLI works fine with the cpu's available right now, manufactuars like Dell's XPS Renegade use AMD FX cpu's and Intel EE cpu's and Quad SLI works fine, but they also have the official supported drivers from nvidia. And isn't the Conroe XE going to come out @ 2.9 GHz? Quad SLI is having tons of issues right now because it has no official support for DIY consumers. I think the rumors about the official support for Quad comming then end of the month might be true, after all some of the 7950 retail boxes have a "Quad SLI support" logo on them, why would the vga manufactuars be misleading consumers if they can't use Quad SLI?

I think he was just saying that since quad-sli will probably be cpu-limited a lot of the time, having a fast conroe based cpu would help alleviate that some.

Mine may appear better because I got the factory OC"d version. I wonder if you would get similar scores if you OC'd yours. You are running at stock speeds, right?
