With all the talk about AMD and ATI I thought I would add to that.

Check this out here: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=32268

Intel could buy out ATI with ease. AMD could not.
If this is true and intel wants back in after killing off there old graphics bus
it would seem very possible.

Now if this happens you know where u heard it first and it was not the inquirer. ;)
I come up with this one. But I did read a while back intel wanted back in from another source.

If they want to be a top player they will need a company like ati to get them there.
There last line was BAD. "lol"

Actually... it would make more sense than AMD, IMO.

Until Geforce Go's came out... pretty much the only decent laptop alternative to Intel and other integrated chipset garbage graphics, was ATi. So ATi has been pretty heavy into the integrated scene for a long time... which is what Intel wants.

I hope that isn't true myself. I think ATI is doing fine on their own.

Not a buyout, but a partnership will be confirmed within the next 3 weeks between Ati and AMD.

Buyouts won't definitively happen between the 4 giants in the hardware industry, that is, AMD, Intel, Nvidia and Ati.
Such an amount of rumours towards this are makin me sick. :drooling:
