I hear bombs louder than the FX dropping. I cant wait; then the 9700PRO should fall below $300 and I will be happy camper.

Are there no other sources that can verify this [mis]information?

Not retail! With an investment like that I think I will go with a retail package, same thing but I would rather that 3year warranty over 1year to save $30.

I'd ignore anything the inq says at this point. "Usually right on the money???"

Bah. Yeah, they've already had about four of these R350 "scoops" and the specs have changed every time. They've claimed .13u, .15u, 16 TMU's, 8 TMU's, DDR-II, DDR, 400+ MHz, 375 Mhz.

How can they not be wrong? They've speculated every possible variation, so one of them is bound to be correct.

BTW, this is how the inq typically operates. People are much more forgetful of predictions that aren't true than the ones that are true. Same reason why psychics and "prophets" have been believed. People just don't remember the numerous (and statistically expected) times when they were mistaken.

Yeah, you blindfold your self and throw darts at a dart board if you throw enough you'll get a bullseye.

I'm suprised they didn't use the HardOCP picture of the R350 in the article. :p

The green PCB that look identical to the NV30's we've seen doesn't give away the fakeness?

it's not red under the flowfx fan(the part that's see through, and if you look furthur the green PCB under there is completely identical to the NV30 pics we've seen(component layout, component size....)http://images.anandtech.com/reviews/video/nvidia/geforcefx/review/card4.jpg

Doesn't the see through part(the whole fan in general...ie the way the lighting hits the plastic and metal, etc) look a bit familiar? Did you notice the fan power cable goes nowhere on the R350 pic?:D

A bit-o-updated R350 news on the Inquirerer (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=7622), looks like the 9900 will be available the first week of March now. :)

Is it just me or does ATI seem to be moving up their releases lately while nVidia seems to keep delaying them.... :hmm:

It is oviuos Nvidia is just a little worried if not scared while ATI is confident they will have an answer to FX. The war is about to begin with the outcome in our favor. HEHE- My diabolical plan is all coming together.

Taken from another of my posts in a different thread but heck it's easier to cut and paste than to retype...

I have a feeling ATI is looking for "payback" for the quick launch of the GF3's TI's back at the 8500 launch(The TI's launched literally like 2 weeks from when we first got wind of em(not just guesses). I have a feeling you will see R9900's in stores like 2 weeks after the "launch".

A pretty funny and blatent fake. :D

The part number of the R350 PCB is most likely PN 102-A0xx00-xx. :)

Sorry, didn't have my morning caffeine and just glanced at the post above yours(didn't notice it wasn't the same one). Man, I'm nothing without that sweet nectar pumpin through my veins. One of these days I'm just gonna get a mountain dew IV put in.
