the eight race of the season, and lost in World Cup mania, the British Grand Prix! :D

after Monaco, i don't expect Schumacher will spin out during qualifying at the end of the lap and block the traffic behind him ... ne needs the points way too much. Alosno is already starting to run away with the championship, and if Schumie doesn't start winning (and gets a little luck with some DNFs for the Renault drivers), the season may be over.

of course, since the race is in England, we'll once again be bored to death with tales of the greatest driver in F1 (never to win a race) and whether ir not this will finally be his first win. don't hold your breath.

ferrari, Renault, Williams, and Toyota were fast in Friday practice, but most drivers will be saving their engines for sat/Sun, when it really matters.

pole for Alonso, Kimi in second, and Schumie in third. should be a good start to the race. Massa in 4th followed by Fisichella and the lone Honda in the top ten, Rubens (Button starts 19th--i guess he won't win again this weekend). the rest of the top 10 are ralf S, JPM, Heifeld and JV.

Alosno wins an easy one, Shumie was second, and Kimi was in third. 4th/5th was Fisichella ans Massa, with JPM in 6th followed by both BMWs (JV getting the single point for finishing 8th). a boring, parade-like race, with nothing compelling happening.

Speed was involved in an accident and knocked out two cars. Button still didn't get a win; he didn't een manage to finish the race, leaving with an oil leak. that didn't stop the ITV announcers from talking about at length, heaping oraise on him despite his troubles. a really wish there was another Brit driver in F1; one that was more sunstance then flash. overall, it was another disastrous weekend for Honda and Toyota--both teams had one driver DNF and another finish well off the pace.

Well, at least this time it wasn't Button's fault ;)

Overall, as you said, a kinda boring race. I still think that Kimi could've finished in 2nd place, if only Mercedes' strategy would've been better. Anyway, it's nice to see at least one of the Mercedeses (the only one with a real driver ;)) back among the top ones...

Let's hope for Canada to be a better race. At least, it's a much more interesting circuit ;)

PS: Btw, is it me, or both Alonso and Kimi were a little.. cold with Schumi ... Well, if so, he gets what he deserves :D

when they have 7 championships, and as many wins, poles, laps led, etc as Schumi, then they can be cold , until then, they should strive to be like him !!
