Media Player Classic?

I've got a problem with getting WMV's to render on Media Player Classic.
files fail to render. I've had this issue before under the same
circumstances.
That is, When I reinstall windows I've got to work to make them render,
but I
still don't know HOW i get them to render. I play with the settings
until they
work. I've got all the codecs installed. I've check that they render
under
Windows Media Player, and they do. They just fail to render under
Classic.

This one is stumping me, and has since the beginning.

Windows Media Player 11 Beta (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/default.aspx) will give you WMV9 hardware acceleration. Even on MPC I think.
