The 7800GS is the best option from Nvidia on AGP. ATI has the X850XT if you can find one. Out of the 2, I consider the 7800GS the better option as it is more feature proof.

What speed processor do you have? Does your motherboard have an AGP slot? If your CPU is less than 3 GHz, I wouldn't waste the money on a 7800, as it will be bottlenecked by the processor. That being the case, you would be better off with a GeForce 6600 GT, 6800 GT or ATI Radeon X800 GTO.

Well i dont hav 3GHz processor i hav 2.8Ghz
And i hav an agp slot of 4xto8x compatible i saw it from my motherboard site intel

id say a 6600gt, great card and good value :). or go with the 6800gt and upgrade your memory a bit, and you'll have a nice computer :)

I use this motherboard and have just purchased 6800 XT for reason of best price/performance from Amazon. It's working great with Riddik and Doom 3.

hey thanx for all the reply guys ur great but i hav a problem is geforce 6600 better or bad than 6800 series coz i talked to the computer store guy by phone and he says he has 6600gt agp card of 8500 indian rupees:thumbdwn: but its way too much so i want a great tnl card for a lowest price possible coz my dad dont like spending too much money

what games are you looking to play exactly?, having a card of TnL capailites is quiet simple, i mean u could get a geforce 2 mx and it would have TnL, but it wouldnt play any new games, you'd need a 6XXX series nvidia card at the least to play decent nowaday games....

well i want to play spiderman the movie game but it always says u must hav a TNL card to play this game:( but that doesnt mean i want a bad tnl card i want a tnl card to play all the games i want:D
