Im looking for a brand new PC monitor .for NExt generation console and PC gaming .it needs to support HD gaming at 1080p resolutions if possible. :)

I might consider a CRT's but a little worried about the warranty because they are mostly discontinued.Ive heard that LCD's that suport high resolutions have issues with non native resolutions.. that could be a huge problem if there are a pc game that needs lower settings.
Any suggestions ?

You might consider one of the larger panels like the Sharp or Westinghouse 37" 1080p LCDs. They should be able to scale pretty well down to 720p (1280x720) if you need to.

Dell 2405 or 2407, native resolution of 1920*1200 which is greater then 1080p

I'm using the 2407 right now its quite flexible regarding resolutions, I'm playing most games at 1680*1050 or 1920*1200.. And for those that don't support widescreen you can just enable 1:1 and use it as 20" 1:1 is only available at 1280*1024 and lower..

SLI or Crossfire is highly recommended at this resolution.

Also 1280x720 on large LCD TV's 26"+ looks horrible to me and wouldnt recommend it for PC Gaming plus they ghost allot.
