Uniblue Registry Booster (http://www.nvnews.net/reviews/uniblue_registry_booster/index.shtml)

We add a bit of variety to our typical reviews by taking a look at the Uniblue Registry Booster. The interface is top notch, but what else does it offer? Check out the review to find out.

Nice review.
Uniblue Registry Booster seems to do the job well. Simple and painless.

Is that a product key or something?

And nice review Clay. I'm seriously considering checking this program out. :)

Looks like it... someone needs a ban...

Clay, Would you say the program is worth it? I noticed that RegCleaner doesn't like DualCores much and this could be a great alternative.

However, for the price, this app has as much and more than most of the competition. I'm not exactly sure how the registry is defragged but I like the sound of it :D so having that option is neat if nothing else.

The Trial version blows...dosent fix more than 5 errors i think or 15, and defrag dosent work..so its hard to know if its worth it or not..and does anyone know how this defrag thing actually works? It must be good because if it saved 3 seconds on ure system even with a clean system..must be good lol

Abexo Registry Cleaner seems to find tons of stuff, but CCleaner is a great freeware alternative. Nice review Clay!

I dont like CCleaner since after a reinstall of windows I get error

CCListBar
Run-time error '0'

and it crashes. Of course reinstalling the program fixes it but I don't system utilities that must be reinstalled everytime windows is resintalled. I like programs that put settings in their own dir and dont need to be reinstalled unless absolutely needed (even filezilla doesnt need to be reinstalled, it just asks if I wanto install and autorun service when I start it after a reinstall). Programs like this hang around a lot longer.

Abexo Registry Cleaner
- It saves the registry backup in C:\Program Files\arc even though I installed it to D:\Programs
- hangs when I click ... for excluded registry keys (maybe I didnt wait long enough)
- uses too high CPU priority when scanning for registry errors (can't browse files with explorer)

ccleaner is good enough. most of these optimizers are more of a placebo effect than anything.
