I couldn't agree more, Saz.

And I too played volleyball. :D w00t!
There is such thing as men's volleyball? Our school only allowed girl's to play. Men's Volleyball to me sounds like Men's Softball as a high school sport :D .

j/k (but i am serious about the part where my school only let the girls play) :D

absolutely. Nash does make his team "better", but there is no way a person could say with a straight face that having D-wade or Lebron on the team instead of Nash would be a bad decision. I would add Dirk to this list, but Dirk is SERIOUSLY choking as of late.

Lebron has only taken his team to the playoffs one time. Wade has done it every year and not only that, but he has taken his team farther than both Carmelo and Lebron combined.

I love Nash as a player but I am totally against the idea of a single-dimensional player getting an MVP, just as I am of the firm opinion that a pitcher in MLB should not get MVP consideration because they don't play everyday.

You can't partially contribute and then get the award.

Dirk fwiw is not choking. Just as Dallas is suffocating Shaq with it's D and the hacks and all that stuff, Miami is throwing a lot of different looks at Dirk. He's played well considering everything and his team, especially Terry, has done a good job in helping him out and hitting their open shots.

It just seems to me that lately Dallas spends more time whining both during the game and on off days, never giving Miami any credit, rather than just focusing on the task at hand.

I agree completely.

Dallas is a good team but enough already.

First they complain that they are not getting enough calls for the ticky-tack fouls. Then the complain that ticky-tack fouls are called.

They intentionally foul Shaq repeatedly and get themselves into the penalty and then complain about Miami going to the line more often.

They get lots of calls their way (recall a pivotal possession that went against Miami in OT when it was clearly a ball off Dallas, Dallas scored to tie rather than having more pressure heaped on them) and then whine that the refs don't give them calls.

Wade hits the deck all the time, then Dallas says he's soft and whines all the time. Pot calling the kettle black?

Just play and stop griping.

Terry would be my #2 choice for playoff MVP. He is playing unbelievable every game.

Wade is a big reason why Heat are doing so well, but comparing the heat's success with Wade and the sucess of Lebron/Carmelo's teams are completely unfair. Just like Kobe, Lebron/Carmelo are on extremely crappy teams. Heat is pretty stacked. As are the Mavs, Suns, and Pistons, which just so happen to be all the teams that made it to the end. You know thats an unfair comparison ;)

And about Dirk, I personally think he's choking. But we are all entitled our own opinions :D

Its my opinion that biggest reason why the Mavs are losing is because of this. They get themselves in penalty and then D-Wade ABUSES the penalty. I've never seen a player litterally ABUSE the free throw line for easy points as much as he does(well, I take that back. Dirk is pretty bad about this as well). I don't blame him though. I would do the same thing if I was in his situation.

On top of that, Shaq is actually doing "ok" making his free throws . When will they learn that their fouling is KILLING them. Don't even get me started with Jerry Stackhouse. He has always been one of my favorite players since he played for UNC, but after his piss poor sportsmanship last week he can die in a fire for all I care. :firedevil

Another big reason that they're losing is it seems that once they have a lead towards the end of the game, they play not to lose instead of playing to win. Like a football team going away from the pass, and constantly running the ball, when the pass is what got them their to begin with.

They need to continue attacking on offense.

Personally, I want Miami to win. Mark Cuban never annoyed me, but lately, his sitting behind the bench, making contorted faces at every opportunity has gotten on my nerves. It would be worth it just to see his face if they lose at Dallas, especially if it's a blown call to end the game...provided he's not suspended for game 6.

apparently several nba coaches had a straight face when they voted for nash.

I would go with Dirk. Terry would never have those options to shoot without Dirk drawing so much attention.

Perhaps but here's why I think not.

Dwayne's first season, Lebron was nowhere, Carmelo went out in the first round, Dwayne single-handedly carried his team to the second round. Same team that had won about 20 odd games the previous season.

And about Dirk, I personally think he's choking. But we are all entitled our own opinions :D

Like I said :) Shaq and Dirk are both being defended like there's no tomorrow. I can't say a guy who's knocked down as many big shots as Dirk has is choking. Yes he's missed some key free-throws, but c'est la vie. He knocked down a HUGE shot at the end of the game in 5 and it would have been the game-winner if not for Wade. A choker would not have taken, nor made, that shot.
