I had been in the beta, but I didn't see a darn difference in it outside of the name change. I use a messenger in the most basic sense. Send messages with smileys and as far as I saw, there was nothing changed. Of course wasn't able to use Messenger Plus, so I de-installed Live Messenger and went back to MSN Messenger. Really, it just looks like a rebranding to me. Nothing truly innovative in Live Messenger or someone explain what I missed.

I got Windows Messenger Live installed, noticed it has 2 features included in Windows Messenger Live are Sharing Folders and full function MSN Games menu (which was broken in MSN Messenger 7.5). Yes Windows Messenger Live is a reband of MSN Messenger 8 and current Messenger Plus! version are not compatible with it so you can reinstall it on this Saturday as Patchou will release Messenger Plus! Live (http://www.msgplus.net/news.php) that will be compatible with Windows Messenger Live. :D

The new version of Messenger Plus! (4.00), distributed under the name "Messenger Plus! Live", will be officially released this Saturday, June 24th, at 23:40 GMT.

I found Windows Messenger Live very nicer than MSN Messenger 7.5. :)

Anyone know if there is a Mess patch for Messenger Live?

I very much like to clear some of the extra crap that comes with messenger, and I wont upgrade until I can do so :)

I use A-patch myself...Does the same things as mess. Maybe even better...And there is a new version for the new final version of MSN Live.

Hmmm... never heard of it. I may give it a try.
Mess patch will be available Friday late night. I won't even go NEAR Live until I have that. :)

Messenger Plus! Live (http://www.msgpluslive.net/) has been released but the site is down due to unbelieve huge numbers of download Messenger Plus! Live. I found a mirror here (http://technoage.plusdimension.com/MsgPlusLive-400.exe). :D

Dear god... Am I the only person here thinking that Messenger Live is the most horrendous abomination of a so called IM-client that any human being has set his eyes upon????

Please tell me I'm not alone on this one. It truly is quite horrible. Even after removing all the crap and infinite amount of useless buttons using messPatch, it still looks awful.

Sorry, but I'm keeping my 7.5 until I find a good replacement.

I'm not a fan of it myself. The features that Live has I don't care for because I just message people. Trillian is ok but I find it still has and has had for soemtime a memory leak and causes my computer to stutter in games. Strangely/ironically when I remove it I have no problem. Live messenger doesn't cause me such problems so I continue to use it.

Can't wait for messenger plus to get rid of that damn advertising and have all my needed functions put in that Live messenger lacks.
