Hey guys,

I don't get why I am getting such bad performance from this card

my specs are

Quadro FX 4500
Athlon 64 X2 4200+
DFI Lanparty Nforce 4 Ultra
Xfi-fatality
Tagan PSU 530 Watts (i think it has about 38A on the 12v rail)

Specviewperf 8.1

with 3dmark 06 I get normal results though I get about 43xx

I even formatted my machine.

What am I doing wrong? can some one please help? What do I need to change in the driver settings? This is my first Quadro card so I have no idea whats going on.

Hello.

From your posted specs, I assume that you're trying to build a gaming machine. If so, the Quadro is not the card for you. The Quadro series is aimed towards workstations for graphics designers and such professionals, not gamers.

If you are looking for a gaming video card, the GeForce 7 series would better fit your requirements.

He wouldn't waste his time with the Spec.org stuff if that were the case (I hope).

What applications are you looking to run mate? the drivers need configuring (ideally) for certain applications (Maya, 3ds max etc) Have you got your motherboards chipset drivers installed correctly?
