Kotaku is known for its anti Sony bias, so it shouldn't surpice to see this article appearing on that site. The video shows a PS3-like controller which was produced for the original Playstation. It should be noted also that the controller includes vibration, indirectly confirming that the main reason Sony won't include rumble is to avoid paying Immersion Technologies.

On a side note, I was somehow perplexed seeing the tilt control in action. I know myself and I'm pretty sure my wirsts would ache after a few minutes of use. I don't know how anyone can be looking forward to performing such convoluted movements with the pad. Even if I decide to purchase a PS3, no way I'm going to play any game using tilt.

I honestly do not think that anybody thinks that they can not do it because of the motion sensing.
The lawsuit is the only main factor in the equation.

Commenting on your side note, I've only used the freestyle controller Microsoft had but it didn't bother my wrists at all. Of course, I didn't use it full-time though. I mainly used it with their motorcycle game (can't think of the name of it at the moment), driving games, and some arcade type flying games. It was fun for a while but I ended up being better using a joystick so I switched back to it. I gave it to my parents with a system I built for them and they loved it. It was usually a big hit when relatives would visit but since they don't play games all that often, the novelty of it probably doesn't wear off like it would with someone that games a lot.

Motocross Madness?
That's the one. Can't believe I couldn't think of the name since I really liked it. Heh, I even bought the Mx vs ATV Unleashed game since it reminded me a lot of Motocross Madness.

That was an amazingly fun game. I always played it with friends and loved the gate/checkpoint races. I assume the tilt function controlled front/rear horizontal lean during jumps?

I have the MS controller also. It was cool with Motocross Madness but I don't like the system really much... not enough feedback.
