I seem to be having a problem with WoW on certain models all I get are black textures. The other model I get this on is the Legendary Sword "Thunderfury". I am running the 91.28 drivers and the rest of my system specs are below.

I'll try and post an image when I'm able.

Ah your using a different flash for your card. 7900GT was coded differenly than a 7800GS. That might be your problmen their.

um dude, there is no 7800GS with the 7900GT core.

there is a mixed up engineering sample 7800GS(PCIE) which shows as a 7800GT, but theres no 7800GS with a 7900GT core.

This is a limited edition Gainward card built on the 7900GT card, run of around 1500 I'm lead to belive. The card is running on default BIOS and has not been overclocked.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Nvidia_AGP_Graphics_Cards.html / Gainward 7800GS+ (And this card runs sweat, no problems in any other game).

AStaley, have you tried the Forceware 91.31 or any other drivers? It may just be a driver bug.

Actually, yes there is. In April and May, Gainward released two BLISS 7800 GS 512 MB AGP models, one which came equipped with a 20-pipe 7800 GT core and the other a 24-pipe 7900 GT core. The former is called the "non-plus" version and the latter is called the "plus" version. Gainward made about 2500 non-plus cards and 1500 plus cards.

You can read more about it here:

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=31169 <--- 500 MHz limit is wrong, nearly all users OCing the GS+ much higher than 500 MHz.

Several users at HardForums and Guru3D have already gotten a hold of these cards:

Ok resolved the problem. It would seem that if you have Smooth Shading set in the video menu of the game it causes certain textures to appear as plain black.

Thanks for the replies all.
