Can you help me with choosing videocard for use with 2 monitors

I curently use ati radeon 9000, but it suck in all aspects - like directx on secondary monitor (or more like directx on primary, but taskbar and aplication on secondary) is totaly inpossible etc.

So i wonder how 3dlabs or powercolor videocards work with multiple monitors.

Or even how it work on nvidia quadro MVS (i had appian rushmore 64 and it was same **** as radeon 9000 i still wonder how can someone made multimonitor videocard with ati chipset).

... or maybe even matrox?

Thanks.

NVS are good cards.

Actually in a Windows environment any of the latest cards from NVIDIA or ATI, starting with the 5000 series for NVIDIA and the 9000 series for ATI, can run dual heads provided there are two video outputs on the card. Both XP and 2000 will recognize it without issue. They will also run dual head in the Linux Kernal version 2.4 or higher.

Depending on your usage then I would recommend reading Tomshardware for a good comparrisson between the two brands in respects to their gaming and 3d capabilities.
