View Full Version : [Xbox360] Kengo Zero
Kengo is the spiritual successor of the acclaimed Bushido Blade and developed by Lightweight Studios, now part of Genki.
This is the official site: http://www.genki.co.jp/games/kengo_zero/
The game has been announced only for the Xbox 360, so far. Both Bushido Blade and Kengo were Playstation only games. I guess Microsoft is pouring a lot of money to convince the developers to jump ship.

Lets hope it isn't anything like Kengo... Bushido Blade was amazing but the Kengo series was total trash. They completly ignored everything that was done in Bushido Blade.
I don't dout it will be made for the PS3 though, They are very large supporters of Sony consoles, Just look at the games list ... pretty one sided...

But I could careless which console it releases on as long as its nothing like Kengo 1 and 2...
Genki is doing also Tokio Xtreme racer for the Xbox 360. Maybe both titles will probably end up being multiplatform, but it's a nice shift from previous generation.
Quality aside, it's always good for the consumer to have a wider choice.

I hate myself every day for buying Kengo... I look at it and it makes me want to slit my wrists...

Lol
Wow, didn't expect to see another Genki project already. Hmm, wonder what Kengo Zero will be like, I liked the Bushudo Blade games but Kengo didn't really impress me. A next gen Bushudo Blade-type game would be very cool though, it's been almost 10 years since the first one was released and it's still one of the most original fighters out there (fittingly, the Tokyo Extreme Racing series is also one of the most unique games of it's kind).

Yeah, I loved how in the original DC one I could drive right through a wall...
The only game I ever liked from this developer were the Bushido Blade games but Square owns the rights to them.

Yes, since we all know that bugs are just unheard of in games, and that a single rare one totally ruins the entire game. Which is, of course, why games like Counter-stirke Source, Battlefield 2, and Shadow of the Colossus are held in such low regard. I still remember the first time I played Need for Speed 3 at a friend's house, and 30 seconds after I had started playing I ran into a wall and was shot hundreds of feet into the air and the game ran at about a frame a second until I finally somehow landed. I'm surprised you'd even notice bugs in games anymore, since you should be used to seeing shipped games with hundreds of them after working at EA ;)

Difference is that even with the bugs Need for Speed 3 had it atleast was still fun... Nothing made Tokyo Xtreme Racing fun...

Except for the excellent and unique gameplay.
