My friend called me today and mentioned that AMD is dropping out of the processor market.

I don't know if this is true but sounds like it might since their prices are so high and they don't have 60 percent of the market like intel does.

IF its true than i made a smart move to intel or actually going back to intel.

Highly unlikely since they just announced they are going to build a new fab in NY

That is highly unlikely. AMD is still in the game and will be for a long time to come. Just because Intel releases a good competitive processor doesn't mean AMD must quit. AMD's top of the line processors are still very very good and the performance margin is not that big really. With lowered prices I believe many will choose AMD over Intel just like before.

Yeah, I heard this too. I also heard they took all the AM2s they've been making and are just burning them because there was no point to even release them.

They also started their own lame emo band to sing about all the lame depression they're currently feeling and should be in the Billboard Top 40 in a matter of weeks. The record sales and revenue for touring will get them back in to the black and they'll be okay, but they'll still sing about being depressed and alone and how no one understands them.

Is your friend that guy who interfered with that ball in the 13th inning of the White-Sox game last night in Chicago?

AMD is building a plant (dont know if its just design or if its an actual fab) in Saratoga, NY which is near where i live. the state gave them over a billion dollars for the plant.

somehow i doubt this is true. this should be in the rumors section btw.
