OMG!

And OMG the memory timings, and people said DDR2 is slow!

Look at the f***ing speeds! I dont know much about SuperPi but holy hell those are some INSANE bus\core speeds!

:drooling:

it photochopped look at the 2 in the core speed, the bottom part of the 2 isnt complete

hmm.. interesting observations, but it may be due to the jpeg compression...

btw I validated the checksum @ http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/

the score is legit.

It's a .gif. :p Looks fine to me now. I guess it was completely fine to begin with, either that or someone fixed the photochop after reading these posts.

whatever, even if it didnt checksum you guys would claim it to be real...

And even though it does, you continue to thread crap :p

No, if the checksum didn't work out, it would obviously be fake. That's why I did it lol.

The score is impressive indeed if it turned out to be true.

Heh, oh yeah... I ran it before :p

I got a 34.
34 vs 9.8? Thats nuts :wtf:

Scores are all legit, and both the speed and overclocing potential of conroe is indeed very, very real.

However I think there may be a few people in here who wouldn't believe it even if they did the benchmarks themselves..... :p

Good stuff Lars, dont mind a12ctic he's a bit put out by this and does'nt quite know were to focus his frustration.

Impressive!! I would be happy with 3.6GHz^^

Maybe we should name Conroe threads with a Pentium 4 tag to avoid anti-Conroe posts :P

I think we should just shoot them and be done with it. :p

Well, sometimes things are just really hard to swallow I guess :p

As you may have read in another thread, I've had a conroe system running for quite some time now, and I do know a few other people with conroe ES chips as well. And not only performance but also overclocking potential looks very promising. My guess is that ~3.4-3.6 Ghz on high-end air or watercooling should be about the average stable overclock potential for a E6600 final retail cpu, which would equal the performance I'm getting with phase-change cooling on my very early A1 stepping E6600 @ 3.55 Ghz. And that's not too shabby at all ;)

Wow 9.828s achieved on a X6800 overclocked to insane 5.2GHz is incredible.

Let see if he can push the chip to 5.5GHz to get 8s Super PI. :D

if it was 100% real, the numbers in cpuz would be the same...
