Seems like Japanese Developers are questioning the PS3 abit, while its not losing support (atleast its not stated) they are questioning if it will do as good as Sony is hyping.

90.29% of the surveyed feel the PS3 is too pricey, compared to just 9.71% who feel that it's priced just right.

56.31% disagree with Sony's choice of going with two hardware models, compared with 39.32% who agree with the move. 55.82% feel that the PS3 won't sell with the current lineup of announced titles, compared to 39.32% who feel that it will sell.

48.54% stated that, following the show, their anticipation of the hardware is unchanged, 32.52% stated that they've become less confident in the platform. Only 3.39% said that they were relieved by Sony's announcements at the show.

62.13% feel that the system won't reach 6,000,000 sales by March of next year. In comparison, 35.43% feel that Sony will reach this goal. One developer cited price and competition as reason for this prediction.

bring em over to Wii!
you might get your wish. There was an article in a recent EGM about 360/ps3 games being so much more in development costs that smaller devs would almost be forced to move to the Wii unless they found publishers with big enough money pockets.

I think everybody agree's PS3 is pricey, theres no doubt about that. Thing is, If the thing was called Vaio instead of PS3 there would be different feelings about it. System that can play games, blu-ray player, coupled with RSX and cell processor would be a steal for 600 dollars. Thing is, its a PS3 and people see it as a game console weather sony likes it or not. So they definately have to change their marketing strategy to show why they should purchase this system over another. And in the process, build on their middleware efforts to help out the smaller develelopers.

Hope that made sense, im kinda tired. :p

I'll glance at the PS3 when it hits a <$300 price point. This whole next gen DVD format crap is stupid anyways, so there aren't really any advantages to getting a PS3 within the next 2-3 years anyways. I'll be getting married by that time so I won't have any money any how. :D
