why do 7800 series cards still list for higher than 7900 series cards after all this time?

I mean I know there have been issues on the 7900 series but they can not be so bad people would rather spend more money on an older 7800, would they?

The 7800s are probably not in production anymore and as the warehouses are emptied, the price is stable or sometimes even increases some.

Yeah, the 6800Ultra's went through the roof on some sites after the 7800's were released.
