After reading the Buttkicker Gamer review over at Club OC I had to pick one up. So I ordered it from newegg $119 (they rock as usual). Got her all hooked up last night and tested it out with a movie, Top Gun. Very cool to be able to feel the afterburners and explosions it picks up the bass of the music also, very nice. Next up was BF2. OMFG is it sweet. It takes a very small amount of tuning and it picks ups just the right frequencies. Jumping in to a tank I could feel the low rumble just sitting idle. Start moving and WOW it ramps up perfectly with sound. You can feel bumps (that make noise) driving over tracks or hitting things, every shot with the cannon would blast my chair. I could even feel every shot from the machine gun WHILE driving, it's very well defined. Out of vehicles I could feel my foot steps ever so slightly, running makes a bit more noise and I could really feel every step. Popping off a few rounds you can feel every bullet being fired, full auto or burst. Nads, even far away nads give a very nice thump. Even getting shot gives a very nice jolt. Heli's, again WOW, the chair pulses perfectly with the sound of the rotor, it feels like your riding IN the chopper. The cannon and rockets feel fanfrickentastick. Jets are pretty awesome as well. My favorite has to be the AAA cannon. The gun on that thing has so much bass and pop to it, it freaked my cat out from across the room, it's just...POW!!! (My neighbors hate me I'm sure). Tuning it in for racing games was not hard at all I just adj the high pass filter so it lets in up to 110hz and I could feel every RPM of the Ferrari I was driving. Smashed in to a wall just to see how it feels and bam, the chair reacts perfectly with the crushing blow. Music, LOL yeah Base305 gave me body massage. The fan on the amp is not loud at all and the amp stays cool under a full load. I had a small bit or rattle coming from the control handle on the chair but it was easily solved with a paper towel and some duct-tape. I do have it plugged in to the headphone jack right now. For some reason it would not react when connecting it to the center/sub channel. If it has a built in crossover I see no reason not to give it full signal, I still need to mess around with it. I can honestly say I will never play a single game or watch another movie without it.

Call me old fashioned but I don't really want rectal spasming to accompany a chat with the innkeeper in Cheydinal. :D

It works great with headphones but you don't really plug them in to the buttkicker. It's called a silent subwoofer so If you hook it up to any audio output, plug in your headphones and it feels like your getting massive bass while using headphones with no sound to the outside world. They might feel it but not hear it. They wont be able to tell where it's coming from. Check out the review http://www.cluboc.net/reviews/sound/Buttkicker/

As for the rectal spasms accompanying chat, not even, if they have a very deep voice it might pick it up. However on a side note, for some reason my girlfriend really likes my computer now. :D The voices in COD2, Swat4, BF2 and Prey do not come though. They just don't have bass. The footsteps in BF2 I think have a bit of low bass to them and that’s the only reason they come through.

Thats damn cool. And they used a chair very similar to mine in that review :D

I used to have one of those stupid rumble backpack things back in the day. Anyone remember those? I used it on my computer and it sounded HORRIBLE. This thing is a completely different idea though, so Im sure it works great. I might have to pick one up some day :)

Heck yeah(nana2) , Jealous?

Yeah I tried on of those rumble back pad things a while back. It sucked, but this is totally different. My father is a HiFi nut and he's tested out the home theater systems and those things will shake your whole house. The gamer is only 100w, they have some that go to 1000+watts but $$$$.

Well I've come across a problem. Does anyone know if you have to have the onboard audio enabled in the BIOS in order to use the front panel audio header on the mobo??? I connected it up, it has a mic and headphone jack but I get no audio. I have the headphone jack on the front I/O panel for the X-fi but that means keeping my case door open when I use the buttkicker. The cases headphone jack is on the side and would be perfect to hide the cable. I could splice the wires from the x-fi but that would suck, any ideas?? O and the headphone jack on the side of the Z-5500's mute the speakers when used. I wanna close my door.:( This thing still kicks butt though.:D

And what do you thing would happen if I enabled it with the X-Fi installed, I don't think sound could be output by both at the same time, though it would be nice.

Yes it will be disabled. You should have a way to connect the front header directly to the X-Fi card though.

Well after doing a bit a research I found that it is possible but you have to use the proprietary connection on the card that uses a special OEM connector. I found the July 2006 Maximum PC has a how to build your own adapter. I also found this http://audigy2zshowto.blogspot.com/ it shows how to do the same thing on the ZS2, it's basically the same thing on the X-Fi. I might end up doing it.

Okay...so... after a week of buttkicking...I can honestly say...this thing is the shizzle. This is thee best gaming add-on I have ever purchased. <-PERIOD
It works with every single game. You can feel everything or turn it down just for the super low tones. Anyone with a 5" PC woofer would worship it but it also compliments the Z5500s O so well. I'm a bit of a hi-fi nut myself, I installed quite a nice system in my Impreza. This puts my d600w 12" to shame on low tones. It goes without saying I will be installing one on my sofa and one if not two in my car soon...for movies:D . I finished Hitman BM yesterday and I wish I had it all the way through. I'm playing through again right now.
This is all I can say...Games, Movies, Music, Porn, Cars, Headphones, Girlfriends and Websites are vastly improved by the Buttkicker.<-PERIOD
One of my friends said he just ordered one today from a website for like $88. I didn't find out where but I'm sure it can be found.
Double post and I don't post much.

Damn you, I really want one of these now.

I have the Z5500s but you cant feel the bass unless you really crank it up, and I rarely NEED to do that. I still love feeling the bass though. So this would be awesome.

It's really great for late night gaming. I can turn the sub on the Z5500s down so just two notches are showing, so you can just barley hear the bass, and it feels like my apt should be shaking, if I get up from my chair it's so empty. It definitely made me jump a few times in Prey. "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

I just bought one of these. :D

The prices have really come down it seems. I got mine through amazon marketplace (new) for $78.89 shipped from GoGamer.com (it costs $5 more if you buy it directly through their site :p).

Can't wait to get it!

Just sit on the sub instead. :)

@Maxthreat: I always just figured it was kind of a gimmic, and that it was just like a rumble feature on your chair. After hearing you talk so highly about it, it definitely sounds like it might be the real deal. My question is does it make enough noise to rattle your chair, or is it completely slient unless your sitting in the chair? The only thing I'm concerned about is if the chair is sitting on the floor and other people can hear the thing either in the basement, or hear/feel the floorboards shaking.

I'd be running over the cable with my chair all the time. I could see that as a major annoyance.

... except give you bass you can feel without creating any noise.

I work night shift so when I want to game and listen to music on my nights off, I have to use headphones or turn the volume way down. My sennheiser headphones sound great, but without feeling the bass, it just isn't the same.

Whoo, nice CaptN got a buttkicker. You'll have to post what you think of it. It really does do allot more than a good sub can. The Z-5500's have an amazing sub, I don't know how they get such low freq out it. The buttkicker just acts as an addition to it but it's more. It's like force feedback for games, movies and music. Very responsive with a tight hit or mega low 10Hz.
CaptN, just make sure you feed it a full signal (like a headphone jack). The direction say to hook it to the sub line but I've found if you feed it a full signal it's much more responsive. I use the dials to tune it in but usually leave both crossovers off and adj power as needed. It allows you to feel the full range of what it can do for force feedback in games and movies. Music, I usually turn the crossovers on.

I don't think I have any available jacks to plug it into except for the sub. When I plug something into the headphone jack on my z5500s the speakers turn off and the stupid x-fi has no front panel connectors. :retard:

This "Butt Kicker Gamer" thing is probably the gayest excuse for a dildo I have ever seen.

Bar none.

Not this:

This is what I had to do so I could use my case's headphone connection:

It works prefectly I've been using it since last July. I've got enough parts left over I could just ship the connectors you need over to you if you want. I just used wires from an old lan cable. I couldn't ship till Wed though.
