I have a pair of BFG 7800GTs i'm considering of upgrading to one 7950.

I haven't seen any reviews comparing 7800GT SLI to 7950. How much faster would it be.

and about how much can i sell my 7800GTs?

Might want to actually post this in the for sell forum... not here.

As for the speed difference between SLi 7800GTs to a single 7950, theres a nice difference but its not a night and day jump. You will see most of the benefits coming from the extra ram for games like Oblivion and BF2.

Each 7800GT is worth about $200 or less now since the 7900 Series has released in full.

I went from two BFG 7800GTs to two Leadtek 7900GTs and didn't notice much of a difference at all. I'd save your money as I kind of regret it. I'd wait for the G80 this fall.

Agreed, wait till G80. :)

I'm keeping my single 7900GT even when I switch to Conroe.

Yeah, I can't see selling a 7800 series SLI pair for a 7950, unless you were going to a larger screen or something like that. Wait at least until the next generation.

Well, I have a couple of the 7950 GX2 cards, and if you can get it for no extra cash, or up to $100 out of pocket, it is worth it. It will be faster than 7800 GT or 7900 GT cards in SLI because of the dedicated bandwidth and 512 MB on each card. It is closer to 7900 GTX SLI than 7900 GT SLI performance wise. I am using a 24 inch widescreen Dell LCD. 30 inch soon.

The stock heatsink is not really that loud, either. Thought it would be, but it is not noticable (not like an X1800 or X1900). I am quite impressed how well these cards work. Surprised, in fact. 9268 on 3DMark06 (800/600 which both 7950 GX2s handle easily) on the dual core system. 8400 on the single core.
