I expected this decision and i completely understand it, but it's still sad that he's gone now. Many people were sceptical about his work and he had to face a lot of (often unfair) criticism before the cup, Klinsmann knows that this tough everyday business would come back after one bad game. The country celebrated Klinsmann and his team as if they really won the world cup, it can't get any better in the future, only worse. Löw, the second coach of the team, will probably replace him.

Yeah, I saw the report on DW-TV. Quite sad Indeed. I hope Joachim Loew is up for the task.

IMO, Joachim Löw did already most of the (strategic) work with Klinsmann. After all he is the one who had more experience as a coach than Klinsmann who never worked as a coach before he signed for the job back in 2004 (IIRC).

I personally had prefered a true top-class coach like Ottmar Hitzfeld but like I said, Joachim Löw is far from a noob.

Home support definately hepled Germany to third place at the world cup. But Klinsmann's assistant might take over or get voller back.
