Thing is Alonsos car is reliable. If schumi can only take 2 points off him for the rest of the season, he still wouldnt win the championship. He needs at lease 2 dnf from Alonso.

anyway, i taped the French GP and nearly died of bordeom watching the processional race. yah for Schumie winning, his 8th win at Magny Cours and Massa finishing third, but Ferrari has to hope that Renault, which is really reliable, has engine or other mechanical problems, otherwise Renault will still win the championship.

why is France still on the calendar? what a boring race, an awful course, too narrow, not enough passing zones, and the result being a 1 1/2 hour game of follow the leader where passing happens in the pits and not on the track.

good finish for Ralf in 4th and de la Rosa in 7th, but Kimi (5th) and Fisichella (6th) must be disappointed. Heidfeld got the last point for BMW.

oh, and for those keeping track: the best driver in F1 (never to win a race) still did not win, or even finish. both Honda drivers had miserable weekends and did not manage to finish the race.
