I looking forward to upgrade from my evga 6800gt to one of the following options,

1. 7600GT pci-e (I dont think this is worth it?)
2. Dual 6800XT pci-e
3. 7900GT

Im just looking for some decent playable framerates for games like fear, oblivion, prey, etc. I dont have much money lying around, if you have other suggestions i would like to hear.

My current specs are
amd 3500
2gb ram

If your going to upgrade from a decent card like the 6800, I would go all out and get a 7800GT/GTX. I know you mentioned the 7900GT, but I would shy away from the 7900 series if possible, too many problems have been reported and who knows if they have solved them! SLi is a good option (if you ALREADY have a mobo that can handle it) otherwise, it's pointless to upgrade mobo and video card. Does your 6800GT do SLi?

Nope my current 6800gt is agp. So do you think i should wait for something else?

I would upgrade to the 7800gs if you don't wanna upgrade your board. If you are going to upgrade your board, wait for the conroe boards to come out

I'm with anticitizen on this one, with your AGP board, nothing is worth upgrading to except the 7800GS. And even if you would bite the bullet and upgrade to a PCI-Ex. board, it wouldn't be worth it. Just wait for Conroe boards and the chip itself for a serious upgrade. In the meantime...if you realllllllly wanna just get a little more power, go with the 7600 agp or the 7800GS agp card. Either can be had for a fair price. :D

Best of luck!

If you are sticking with the AGP board , get the 7800GS.
