View Full Version : Can't add custom resolution with 91.31

When trying to add 1280x800 in the latest official driver, I get an error message saying that the custom resolution can't be added. I tried RivaTuner and after adding the resolution and rebooting, I still can't use 1280x800. Is there a way to get around this problem?

After read your post, I tested custom resolution on Forceware 91.33, I has the same problem you got, I tried to added 1280x720 but cant because the test had failed. I found a workaround by closing Custom Timings window and click Create button again to fix it and I successful created 1280x720 and then tested the resolution from Display properties and saw the new resolution overstretched. I went back to edit 1280x720 timings and clicked on Advanced and changed Timing Standard from Auto to GTF and tested it then I got perfect 1280x720 resolution. :D
It just a bug, hopefully it will fix in the next driver release.

That did it! I added 1280x800 by playing around Advanced Timing settings. Like you said this is probably a bug since I never had problems adding custom resolution with previous drivers.
