hi I have no money, only spare pennies for an extra 6600gt for to complete an SLI rig. I was curious as to whether or not the asus 6600GT TD 128mb EXTREME edition card would be compatible for SLI linkage with my standard SPARKLE 6600GT 128mb? Im guessing it would be ok but i need some verification, people. cheers, chris

If the ASUS card has the same amount of RAM and the same "6600GT" reference, then your good to go. The clocks are almost guaranteed to be different, but once in SLi the two cards will balance eachother out automatically or you can overclock the slower or downclock the faster one. But I would say that your A-OK!

Howabout selling that 6600GT and buying a 7600GT? I bet that it would perform better and be cheaper.

yeah was thinking that, although, im sure you can combine two different memory amounts as long as you have the same gpu chip.... And as for the 7600gt, would one of those actually perform better than two 6600gt's???
